If you are ever invited to a MatchAccuracy assessment, this is what you will read before you accept anything. It is not a summary: these are the same sentences, read from the same place the assessment reads them.
There is no assessment here. This page has no form, does not open your camera or microphone, does not check your equipment and stores nothing you do on it.
What this page is
A supervised assessment is accepted before it starts, and accepting something you can only read once you have been invited is not quite accepting. The whole text is here, with no invitation and no deadline: the checks on your equipment, the permissions your browser will ask for, the complete list of what ends an assessment, what is not optional and why, what we keep and for how long, and how to ask for an adjustment.
What your equipment needs
Before asking you for any permission, the assessment checks this with you.
This is not part of the test and it is not sent to anyone. If something fails, we tell you exactly what to do and you can retry as many times as you want.
- Camera
- We need to see you throughout the test.
- Microphone
- The room audio is recorded.
- Screen sharing
- Without this the test cannot happen. Here we only check that your browser can; the permission is asked in the next step.
- Connection
- A drop does not end the test, but it is worth knowing beforehand.
- Browser
- Recording the full screen only works well in Chrome today.
- Screens
- The test needs a single screen connected.
If your equipment cannot
- Your browser cannot share the screen, and the test is recorded in full. This usually happens on a phone or a tablet: open it in Chrome on a computer from the invitation email. Your link is still valid and does not expire because of this.
- We need to record the full screen and today that only works well in Chrome on a computer. Your link is still valid and does not expire because of this.
- Your browser does not let us check how many screens you have. We look at it during the test: if a second one appears, we warn you before it counts.
The permissions your browser will ask for
Your browser asks for them, not us, and they are asked one at a time on the permissions screen. They are not checkboxes: a permission is granted or denied in the browser’s own window, and if you deny one the assessment explains how to allow it again.
Your browser asks for them, not us. You will see its window on top of this one. If you deny one, we explain how to allow it again.
- Camera
- Recorded throughout the test.
- Microphone
- The audio of the room is recorded.
- Entire screen
- The whole screen, not a tab and not a window.
- A single screen
- We keep checking this throughout the test.
Your browser has blocked it. Click the icon at the left of the address bar, allow it again and ask for it once more here.
Close your personal windows now —mail, messaging, photos—: we are going to record the entire screen, not only this window.
What ends the assessment, and when we warn you first
This list is here in full, exactly as it is inside the assessment. Nothing below can happen to you without your having read it first.
Ends the test immediately — there is no prior warning because it cannot be undone
- Reloading the page
- We lose the session and cannot recover it. Do not press F5 or the reload button.
- Stopping the screen share
- Your browser shows a bar with «Stop sharing». If you press it, the test ends there.
- Running out of time
- At 00:00 we send whatever you had answered by then.
We warn you and you have time to fix it — after 3 warnings the test ends
- Leaving the test window
- Switching tab, switching application or minimising. 5 s to fix it
- Connecting a second screen
- An external monitor, a projector or an extended display. 15 s to fix it
Logged and reviewed by a person — it does not count as a warning and it does not end the test
- The camera or the microphone disconnects
- A hardware fault is not a behaviour: it does not count as a warning and it does not end the test. We log it in the record you can read during the session, you carry on answering as normal, and whatever was recorded up to that point is kept. The recording cannot resume onto a new device, so we do not ask you to reconnect it against the clock.
From when: observation starts on the «All set» screen, right before the timer starts, and not before you accept here. In that stretch we only record whether you leave the window: it is noted and a person reviews it, but it does not count as a warning and it cannot end anything.
This list is not exhaustive: the session is supervised continuously and a person reviews the signals before any decision is taken. During the test, keyboard shortcuts are disabled.
What is not optional, and why
Two things carry no checkbox, and we would rather say so than give you one you cannot really untick. If you do not want either of them, the way out exists and there is no assessment.
- The whole session is recorded: screen, camera and audio
- From the moment you press Start until you finish. We do not ask your permission for this because it is not optional: a supervised test without a recording does not exist, in the same way an in-person exam cannot ask that nobody watches. We need it to provide you the service, and that is its legal basis —performance of the contract—, not your consent.
- We check it is you: 1:1 face match against the photo on your CV
- The system compares an image from your camera with the photo on your CV to confirm your identity. A test whose result belongs to nobody in particular is worth nothing, so this is not optional either. Identity only: we do not analyse emotions, personality or traits, and nobody scores your face.
If you do not want to be recorded, the way out is «I do not accept — leave» and there will be no test. We would rather tell you that plainly than give you a checkbox you cannot actually untick.
If your CV has no photo, or you do not give it to us, there is nothing to compare: a person then verifies it by looking at a still from your session. In both cases the check happens, and in neither does it affect your score.
Your data
The same retention periods, recipients and rights the assessment shows you on its permissions screen, read from the same table.
- Retention
- Each piece of your data has its own period and its own starting point. When the period runs out the data is deleted: it is not archived, nor kept anonymised.
- Session video and audio: 90 days from when the session ends.
- Face comparison and its frames: 72 hours from when the comparison is made.
- Answers, dossier and score: 24 months from when the test is completed.
- CV handed over for this test: 24 months from when the CV is handed over.
- CV kept for future processes: 24 months from when the box is ticked, or renewed.
- Consent record: 3 years from when it is accepted or declined.
- Expired or declined invitations: 30 days from when it expires or is declined.
- Report capture: 30 days from when the report is captured.
- Adjustment request: 30 days from when the adjustment is requested.
- Invitation credit record: 24 months from when the movement is recorded.
If whoever invited you downloads your CV or your report, that copy falls outside our periods and under their responsibility: our sweep does not delete it.
- Recipients
- AWS as hosting processor, in Irlanda (eu-west-1). The application is served from Fráncfort (fra1). No transfers outside the EEA.pending configuration
- How it is scored
- Accuracy 70% · difficulty 20% · speed 10%. Integrity signals do not score: a person reviews them before any decision.
- AI system
- An AI system reads your CV and compares your photo with your face. It does not mark your test, it does not score you and it does not decide on your application: the score is arithmetic over your answers and the decision is taken by a person.
- Your rights
- Access, rectification, erasure, objection and human review by writing to datos@matchaccuracy.eu. You may complain to the Spanish data protection authority (www.aepd.es).pending configuration
If you need an adjustment
You ask for it from the first screen of the assessment, and you can also ask by writing to us. You do not have to explain a diagnosis or produce a document.
- Do you need any adjustment to take this test?
- More time, a screen reader, breaks or anything else. We review it, not the company that invited you: on their panel your test only shows as under review, without the reason. It does not affect your application.
- Who reads your request
- We review it, MatchAccuracy, not the people who invited you. The company that invited you does not see your request or the reason: on their panel your test shows as «under review», and nothing more. What you tell us to justify an adjustment may say things about your health, and that has no business reaching whoever decides whether to hire you.
- What happens to the invitation deadline
- The 7-day window is stopped from today and starts again when we answer you, with the days you had left. We reply within 2 working days. Asking for an adjustment does not cost you the invitation.
In the real assessment, where this page says “the company that invited you” you will see their name.
